Mandate: PARC contributes to the development and promotion of Atlantic Canadian plays and playwrights, encourages a sense of community among playwrights, and works in the community to create a climate in which Atlantic Canadian theatre is embraced and celebrated regionally, nationally and internationally.

Membership: approx. 120, including new, emerging and established playwrights, academics, regional Artistic Directors and theatre companies. Playwriting, Supporting, Company and Youth memberships are available.

Serving: Playwrights in all four Atlantic Provinces.

  • Home Delivery, brings together playwrights  and dramaturges by mail, phone, e-mail or FAX
  • Kitchen Table Readings, allow a playwright to bring readers together in an informal atmosphere for a first reading of a new work

  • Playwrights' Colony, an intensive two week playwrights' colony, held annually.
